Ephraim Mateyo (died 16 June 2021) was a former Inspector General of Police and Northwestern Province Permanent Secretary.

Career

Mateyo served as Inspector General of Police between 2006 to 2008 during the Levy Mwanawasa regime. During this time, he served with distinction and he was known to fight lawlessness without favour.

Death

Mateyo died on 16th June 2021 after succumbing to Covid-19 at Maina Soko Military Hospital where he had been admitted to.[1]
