In may of 2016, Jason Mulikita founder and C.E.O of the Chalo Chatu Foundation met with Chabota of a Twitter forum at the time, she was considering becoming a full time writer for Wikipedia. Jason had no formal search for a COO, but thought of Chabota as "a perfect fit" for this role as he had the knowledge and how media wiki works.
After joining the company, Chabota quickly began trying to to transfer all his wrttern articles he wrote on Wikipedia to Chalo Chatu.
