Brian Mushimba (born 7 November 1974) is a Zambian politician who has been serving as the Minister of Transport and Communication since September 2016.[1] Mushimba has also been a Member of Parliament of the Kankoyo constituency since August 2016.[2]
Early life and education
Mushimba did his primary and part of his junior secondary school education in Kankoyo where he met Amos Malupenga the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Housing. He proceeded to Mplelembe Secondary School where he completed his Grade 12 and went on to do his Form Six under the ZCCM academic scholarship program. Brian holds a Bachelors of Science Degree (BSc) in Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona in the United States of America. He holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), both from Salem International University in the USA. He also holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from Strathmore Business School in Kenya and currently he is a PHD candidate in Environmental Engineering at the University of Zambia (UNZA). To top it all, he is a member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia EIZ.
Personal life
Mushimba is married to Brenda and they have two children.
